Which lantern will you choose:
---------------------------------------------
1. Traditional lantern made with bamboos and papers, which you put candles inside to light it up and hold it with a long bamboo stick. (Left)
---------------------------------------------
2. Cartoon inflatable lantern which has a light bulb inside. When you turn it on, it lights up and sings. (Right)

The mid-autumn festival falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month (falls on 24th September, 2018 in western calendar). On this full moon (which symbolizes family reunion) night, you will find families staying in the park and beach until late night, enjoying the moon and mooncakes (for sure). Children running around the park, holding their lovely lanterns.
We also light up candles and place them in the mooncake cans (Remember, NO wax-burning 煲蠟)! This is the reason why the Mid-autumn festival is NOT a public holiday, but the day after it is (as all of us stay up late on the Mid-autumn festival). Visit a park and enjoy the festival with locals!

Where to get a traditional lantern: Take MTR to Sai Ying Pun station, Exit A1
